Physical therapists use a number of advanced techniques to help you or a family member regain muscle strength and improve coordination following an injury or illness. They teach safe ways to climb stairs, negotiate curbs and ramps, and move from a bed to a chair. Our residents can learn to walk again with appropriate support equipment, to properly maneuver a wheelchair, or to use an artificial limb. Physical therapy can also help control or alleviate both acute and chronic pain. |
