Salem Home independent apartments are located on the lower level of the nursing home. The apartments provide the freedom to come and go as you please while still providing a secure setting. Salem Home provides one studio apartment and nine two-bedroom apartments.

You can contract with outside services to assist you while living in your apartment independently. This means you are still eligible for home health services, meals-on-wheels, etc.

Apartment residents receive priority on our nursing home waiting list, if the need should arise.

Each apartment includes:

· Fully equipped kitchen and bath

· Central heat and air conditioning

· Utilities are included in the monthly rent

· Emergency call buttons in each apartment

· Cable hook-up at no extra charge

Conveniences/Amenities:

· Mailboxes are indoors

· Beauty Shop—located on main floor and open once each week

· Laundry room

· Courtyard access from your apartment

· Building locked at night to ensure security

· Meals may be ordered from Salem Home kitchen, at an extra cost of $3.00 each meal. Your meal may be delivered to your apartment, or you may join us in the main dining room of the nursing home

· Apartment residents are welcome to join in the activities of the nursing home

Cost:

Standard two-bedroom apartment:

$415.00 for rent payment and

$175 for monthly maintenance/utilities fee

(No utility bill from the city)

 

Studio apartment:

$310.00 for rent payment and

$175 for monthly maintenance/utilities fee

(No utility bill from the city)
